Victoria Beckham has opened up about the challenges of raising adult children following recent explosive claims made by her eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.

Speaking on the Aspire podcast hosted by entrepreneur Emma Grede, Victoria insisted she has never been a “pushy” parent and only wants the best for her children.

“Ultimately, we want the kids to be hard-working and kind. I’ve always wanted to be the best mum that I could be and look after the kids.

“I also feel it’s been part of my job to really help them fulfil their full potential. It’s never about being pushy, it’s about being there to support,” she said.

The former Spice Girls star admitted that parenting older children comes with a very different emotional experience compared to raising younger kids.

“I think it’s very different parenting adult children to parenting smaller children. I’m just trying to do the best that I can. It’s my job to make sure my kids are the best versions of themselves,” she added.

Victoria’s remarks come months after Brooklyn made a series of damaging allegations about his famous family, claiming the Beckhams prioritised image and “Brand Beckham” over genuine relationships.

The aspiring chef also alleged that his parents and siblings were “performative” and accused them of valuing public image and endorsements above family connection.

In his statement, Brooklyn further claimed Victoria once called him “evil” for not sitting at the head table during his wedding to Nicola Peltz and accused her of hijacking their first dance.

Despite the ongoing family tension, Victoria continued to praise her children’s ambitions and growing careers during the interview.

She revealed that Cruz Beckham has been quietly working on his music career for years by learning several instruments, writing songs and performing in small venues.

“He’s spent years learning to play five or six different instruments, writing his own songs, putting a band together and touring small venues in a very humble way. He’s incredibly talented and he’s building his brand,” she shared.

Victoria also spoke candidly about her daughter Harper Beckham, revealing the teenager previously battled severe acne.

According to Victoria, Harper’s skin struggles inspired her to develop her own beauty brand targeted at Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers.

“She came to me two or three years ago and she was really struggling with her skin.

“She used to have beautiful skin, but like all young girls she became enticed by beauty brands and ended up using products that were not suitable for her skin, which resulted in her needing to see a dermatologist because her skin became really, really bad,” she explained.

Victoria said Harper later expressed her desire to create products that could help others avoid going through the same experience.

The businesswoman also revealed Harper had even prepared PowerPoint presentations to pitch her beauty brand ideas from a young age, showing signs she may be following in her parents’ entrepreneurial footsteps.
