Brooklyn Beckham snubs Victoria while paying tribute to ‘best mother-in-law’
Family dynamics can be complicated, and when the family happens to be one of the most recognisable in the world, those moments rarely go unnoticed.
Over the Mother’s Day weekend in the UK, Brooklyn Beckham once again found himself at the centre of public conversation after sharing a tribute to his mother-in-law while appearing to overlook his own mother, Victoria Beckham.
The 27-year-old reposted a photo shared by his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, who had uploaded several images celebrating her mother Claudia Heffner’s birthday.
In one of the photos, Brooklyn stood alongside Nicola and her mother in front of gold balloons spelling out the word “Mom”, surrounded by large bouquets of flowers.
Sharing the image on his own social media story, he wrote:
“Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law. Love you so much and hope you had the most amazing day.”

The message quickly drew attention online, particularly because it coincided with Mother’s Day celebrations in the UK, where many public figures were posting tributes to their mothers.
Nicola herself shared an emotional message for her mother, writing that she felt incredibly lucky to call her “mom” and describing her as someone whose “light is so bright you make everything better in this world”.
Claudia Heffner, now 72, built a successful modelling career before stepping away from the industry to focus on raising her family. Over the years she appeared in campaigns for brands including L’Oréal, Calvin Klein, Chanel and Revlon.
She has been married to businessman Nelson Peltz since 1985, and together they have eight children.

Brooklyn’s post also comes amid continued speculation about his relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
Earlier this year, reports suggested that tensions had grown within the family, with Brooklyn previously speaking about feeling controlled during parts of his life. The comments were widely discussed online and added to speculation about a possible rift.
Despite the reported distance, David Beckham shared a warm Mother’s Day tribute to his wife.
Posting a black-and-white photo from years ago when Victoria was pregnant with one of their children, he described her as “the most amazing mummy” and thanked her for the family they have built together.
The couple share four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
For many observers watching from afar, the weekend’s social media posts served as a quiet reminder that even in famous families, relationships can be complicated, evolving and sometimes deeply personal.
