David and Victoria Beckham send heartfelt birthday wishes to Brooklyn despite family rift
Family relationships are rarely simple, and sometimes love continues to exist even when distance grows.
David and Victoria Beckham have marked their son Brooklyn’s 27th birthday with heartfelt messages on social media, despite an ongoing estrangement that has reportedly created deep tension within the family.
The couple shared childhood photographs of Brooklyn on Instagram, accompanied by brief but affectionate tributes. In one post, David shared a picture of himself and Victoria holding a toddler Brooklyn in a swimming pool.
“27 today. Happy birthday Bust. We love you,” he wrote, referring to Brooklyn by his long-time nickname Buster, which David also has tattooed on his neck.
A second photo showed David posing with a young Brooklyn in a black-and-white image. While David tagged Victoria in the post, Brooklyn’s account was not tagged, likely because the eldest Beckham child has reportedly blocked several immediate family members on social media.
Victoria later shared the same pool photo on her own account with the message: “Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much.”

She also posted another black-and-white picture of herself holding Brooklyn as a baby, adding: “Happy 27th Birthday Brooklyn. I love you so much,” alongside several heart emojis.
Although the public messages appeared warm and affectionate, reports suggest the family is currently spending the birthday apart. Brooklyn is believed to be celebrating in the United States, where he now lives with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.
According to sources quoted by Metro, the situation feels very different from how the Beckhams usually mark birthdays as a family.
“They love doing big family dinners with all of the kids and sharing childhood photos and tributes online,” the source said, describing the family’s usual celebrations.
However, the relationship between Brooklyn and his parents has been under strain for more than a year.
Earlier this year, Brooklyn shared a lengthy statement on Instagram addressing the situation publicly for the first time. In the post, he claimed his parents had tried to control aspects of his life and interfere in his relationship with Nicola.

He also wrote that he did not wish to reconcile with his family at the moment, adding that he was choosing to step away and prioritise a more private life.
Reports later suggested that Brooklyn had blocked his parents and brothers Romeo and Cruz on social media. It was also claimed that he had asked any communication from his parents to be handled through lawyers.
According to sources, Brooklyn prefers any attempt at reconciliation to happen privately and away from the public eye.
The last time Brooklyn and Nicola were photographed with the Beckham family as a whole was during Christmas celebrations in 2024.
Despite the distance and unresolved tensions, the birthday messages shared by David and Victoria suggest that their feelings towards their eldest son remain unchanged.
Sometimes, even when families grow apart for a while, the quiet gestures still say the most.
