Justin Trudeau's son thinks Katy Perry is 'cool and nice'

Justin Trudeau’s son Xavier has made rare public remarks about his father’s relationship with Katy Perry, offering a glimpse into their interactions as the romance continues to draw attention.

The 18-year-old aspiring rapper described the singer as “cool” and “nice” during a car interview with content creator G Hobs, where he spoke openly about meeting his father’s girlfriend.

In an Instagram reel from the interview, Xavier confirmed that Trudeau had introduced them as the relationship became more serious.

He shared that he had already spent time with the pop star, revealing that their conversations often centred around music.

According to him, the two spoke for hours about his creative direction, with the 13-time Grammy nominee offering advice and suggestions for his next steps.

“She gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff,” he said when discussing how Perry responded to his music ambitions.

When asked jokingly about her space-related headlines, Xavier replied with humour, saying they did not talk about it and adding, “Did she even go to the moon?”

Xavier has previously spoken about his passion for music during an appearance on The Brandon Gomez Show podcast, where he shared that both of his parents have supported his journey since the beginning.

He explained that he often plays his latest recordings at family dinners, receiving honest reactions that help him refine his sound.

Trudeau, the former Canadian prime minister, shares three children with ex-wife Sophie Grégoire, including Xavier, daughter Ella-Grace and son Hadrien.

The former couple separated in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. Meanwhile, Perry shares daughter Daisy with actor Orlando Bloom, whom she was previously engaged to before their split last year.

Perry was first romantically linked to Trudeau after they were spotted together in Montreal, followed by public appearances in California later in the year. The pair later made their relationship Instagram official with a post documenting a romantic getaway.
